The joy of it all
The joy of it all
Welcome to my blog! I have always been a writer at heart—from scribbling jumbled thoughts in my journal to penning short stories for my friend’s birthdays—writing has always been my way of understanding the world and understanding myself. For a long time, I’ve wanted to share this part of me with others but I never knew how.
On July 29, 2024, I moved across the country from Phoenix, Arizona, to New York City in order to pursue acting. I decided to start this blog as a way to update people on this new chapter of my life. Not only that, but it also gives me a place to finally share my writing, thoughts, and poetry with others.
Thank you for joining me here. I hope you can find a little bit of Joy on your way!

Unexpected Endings
“To be human: believe that you will endure.”
And she has. She never touched this book, never even knew I bought it or read it in her backyard. But for the rest of my life, this paperback will be inextricably linked to that trip, the last time I held my grandma’s hand in this life, the time I said goodbye and thanked her for all the years of love. Simply for the fact that I was there, and so was she, and so was the book. And the memory of it…that’s what endures.

Homesick
"I think the homesickness is good. I’m grateful for it—it keeps me connected, in a way. The ache is what keeps me tethered to my home, it’s the part of my heart I left behind. The part I can, and always will, come back to. I think it’s a sign that things are going in the right direction. You’re supposed to miss your home, the things you know, the people you love."
